Jameel Mazhari

Mazhari was born in the year 1915 in Hasanpura, district Saaran of Bihar.
He got his education in Calcutta where he finished hi MA. In 1938 he joined
the Information and Publicataion Department of the Government of India.
In 1942 he resigned from his post of Publicity Officer, he was imprisoned
for his involvement in India's freedom movement.
After his release he worked in the film industry
for a while. In 1947 he was appointed the Deputy Director of the Fedral
Government's Department of Information and Broadcasting. He taught Urdu
in Patna College.
